We have rich opportunities in Christian Education at our Church.  They include:

Our nursery area is colorful and well attended.

Hallways and classrooms in our children’s Sunday School area:

We have “rotation” Sunday School for kindergarten through fifth grade.

The children meet in the little chapel at 9:30 am and progress down “Disciples Road” each Sunday.

A Bible story begins in “Joshua’s House with a new story beginning each month.  The children then progress through the drama room where they also work with puppets, the craft room and the computer room to act out and create illustrations for that month’s story.

This is “Joshua’s House” on the right – a classroom designed to look like a home in Bible times with a corner fireplace and cushions on the floor as they might have been then.

The computer room, on the left, enables students to research all kinds of topics related to the story of the month.  This room is called “The Crossroads”.

This is the puppet stage, on the right, where students can act out stories they are studying.  There is also a craft room with all sorts of supplies to enable young imaginations to soar.

After all the experiences along “Disciples Road”, the students begin a new story in “Joshua’s House” and find new ways to make the Bible stories come “alive” for them.

From sixth grade through high school, classes are divided into “Chi Rho” for middle school age, and

Christian Youth Fellowship for high schoolers.

Chi Rho, with its dedicated teachers, meets in its own room on Sunday mornings and joins with the CYFers on Sunday afternoons for all sorts of projects and fun outings.

The youth groups sponsored an ice cream party for the members of the Disciples of Christ National Assembly which met in Fort Worth in July of 2007.

There are four regular adult classes each Sunday morning, beginning at 9:30.

The Seekers Class meets in the Philathia Room on the ground floor just beyond the nursery, and studies various films and Bible studies.

The Round Table Discussion Class meets in the library on the second floor, and studies various books and the Bible.

The Sojourners Class meets in the small room off Anderson Hall.  They are going through the Bible, starting with Genesis.

The Loyal Fellowship Class meets in the chapel and uses “The Present Word” study material.

All the adult classes are invited to come together at 9:30 in the chapel to start the morning with song.  Three hymns are enjoyed, followed by prayer.  Then each person goes to his or her own class for the lessons.
